Appointment booking website for exchange of damaged cash

１．日本銀行は、法令等に定める基準に基づき、損傷したお金の引換えを行います。また、流通に不便なお金（例えば、既に発行を停止している肖像が聖徳太子の一万円券や記念貨など）についても、引換えを行います。なお、日本銀行は両替業務は行っていません。両替をご希望の方は、お近くの金融機関にご相談ください。
２．引換えには、相応の時間を要しますので、当日、よりスムーズな対応を図るため、事前のご予約をお願いしています。引換枚数が銀行券・貨幣合わせて20枚以下の場合は本サイトから、20枚を超える場合は、ご来店される日本銀行の本支店（日本銀行のホームページへリンク）までご連絡ください。特に、大量の引換えを希望される場合には、ご来店の日時や枚数を調整させていただくことがございますので、ご理解ご協力をお願いします。
３．本サイトでは、毎月21日（土日祝日の場合は翌営業日）の午前10時以降に翌月の予約を開始いたします。また、本サイトからの予約は、各月１回とさせていただいておりますのでご了承ください。
４．予約を行う際は、「日本銀行が行う損傷現金の引換について」（日本銀行のホームページへリンク）を事前にご確認ください。
５．本サイトで予約を行う際は、メールアドレスが必要となります。メールアドレスをお持ちでない場合は、ご来店を希望される日本銀行の本支店までご連絡ください。また、登録したメールアドレスは、本サイトから自動送信される「予約完了メール」等（ドメイン「＠rsvsys.jp」や「＠boj.or.jp」）を受信できるように設定してください。
６．本サイトで予約を行う場合は、利用者IDの登録が必要となります。また、ご登録いただいた利用者IDの有効期限は６か月程度としておりますので、その後、予約を行う場合は、改めて、利用者IDのご登録をお願いいたします。
７．本行の事務等の都合により、予約内容に関し、ご確認させていただく場合がございますのでご了承ください。

1. Based on the criteria set out in law and in regulations, the Bank of Japan exchanges (1) damaged cash, and (2) cash that is inconvenient for use, such as old series banknotes that are no longer issued and commemorative coins. 
Note: The Bank does not offer money exchange services or foreign exchange services. If you require these services, please consult a commercial bank.
2. The exchange procedure may take some time. The Bank therefore asks all visitors to make an appointment in advance so that the relevant procedures can be completed smoothly.
This appointment booking website is for visitors who wish to bring in 20 or less pieces of cash. If you wish to bring in more than 20 pieces, please contact the Bank about your visit. If you wish to bring in a large quantity of damaged cash, please note that the Bank may request you to change the date and time of your visit, as well as the amount of cash to be presented for exchange, since the quantity of cash to be exchanged per day is limited.
3. The Bank will start to take online bookings for the following month on the 21st of each month (or the next business day if it falls on a weekend or national holiday) from 10:00 a.m. Please note that only one online booking can be made per month.
4. Please refer to the "Guideline for Exchange of Damaged Cash by the Bank of Japan" (link to the Bank of Japan website) prior to making an appointment.
5. Your e-mail address is required when making an appointment on this website. If you do not have an e-mail address, please contact the Bank about your visit. To make sure you can receive e-mails from the Bank, please place the two domain names below on your whitelist (so your spam filter does not block e-mails that are automatically generated from these addresses):

6. To make an appointment on this website, you will need to register for an ID. Your ID will expire in about six months, so if you should need to make an appointment after this time, please register for a new ID.
